I stood her by the car and waited and waited and waited, but she stayed "frozen" in one spot.
So, I tried pushing gently on her rump...she stayed frozen.
Next I tried putting her front legs onto the seat...she stayed frozen.
Finally, I tried passing the leash through the opening an over the back of the driver's seat, and then I reached over the driver's seat with the leash in my hand, and gently pulled on the leash. She hopped right on into the car, with no difficulty!
See Mom, I can do it by myself! |
It always amazes me what my dogs will do if I put the leash on them.
ReplyDeleteCathie, I always have the leash on my dogs when we go to the car! But this was me pulling on the leash, instead of standing there waiting for her to jump in!
DeleteIsn't it funny how the little things can make such a difference, if we can only figure out what they are?
DeleteMerry Christmas to you and Power and Hera!
So difficult to know those little things!
DeleteNext time will be easier....hopefully. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a real breakthrough for me and relieves my back!
DeleteWell, it's good to know at least she follows your lead. Maybe she just wanted you to get in first?
