More Birds!

A flock of Willits flew into a pond a couple of days ago.  They are migrating to the north for their breeding grounds.  I was happy to photograph them.

    1. According to my research, they migrate through your part of the continent on their way north.
It's a matter of seeking out water to watch for them!

I'm glad that you liked them!

  3. The birds in flight sure look different - beautiful wings with a large span.

    1. When I first saw them, I thought I would never learn how to identify them because they were so plain. But when they extend their wings, I saw the markings and decided that it looked like a "W" and realized I could associate it with the word "willit".
