Organizing

Today I used part of my work hours (between phone calls), to organize the supplies I'd used in my crafts all summer.

Sewing organizer

I had purchased this 4 tray organizer after seeing something similar owned by Andy Baird, who was camping at the park.
Sewing organizer (4 boxes)

Each box has dividers and can be configured as needed
Cardboard spools for embroidery floss

I had purchased an assortment of embroidery floss to use, and started putting the floss onto these spools.
Embroidery threads and tools
Beading supplies organizer
Briefcase to hold my beading organizer
The briefcase was found next to a dumpster at Quartzsite last winter, and has been so useful for beading supplies. The beading organizer was a gift from Joyce who is the Mom of a greyhound called Idee.  Thanks again Joyce!

Rolling caddy for sewing machine
This caddy for my sewing machine was purchased in Walmart, and I am so thankful to have it.  The handle pulls up and the caddy rolls along behind me, thus making the load feel lighter!

Now that everything is organized and ready to take to the motorhome, I just have to decide where it will be stored in the motorhome!  I have lots of stuff that hardly gets used, so I just have to decide.

  1. I guess it pays off to be organized when living in an RV. I will get around to organizing my office one of these days.

    1. It does pay to be organized, but it is a daily struggle for me. I have difficulty making the decisions of where to put things, and with no decision, is no results.

  2. What great organizers! I love everything neat-n-tidy...although it rarely is with me (ha). Well done.

    1. You are so kind! I generally consider myself to be one of the worst. I love everything neat and tidy as well, but for me it is not a natural circumstance.

  3. That's a great way to know where everything is for your beading. What I've found in the past is that if I don't have everything organized, I end up buying duplicates. Your rolling cart is exactly like mine, except different pattern. I love mine and have used it for many things. Sounds like things are going well at Bluewater Lake. :)

    1. Sue, I am NOT good at it, but try to never give up. I have many friends who would be able to tell you of my organizing struggles!

  5. I really like your sewing organiser. I know you have to make the most of every inch of space in a motorhome.

    1. Lynne, you are so very correct. I have to get rid of something in order to add something, unless I want to in a garbage dump!

    1. Your organizers are awesome! I admit that I have a weakness for handy things like that.

I made an error in publishing this comment, Carrie. I was using my tablet, and my finger was larger than the word"publish", and I accidentally pushed the words"remove content" and could not figure out how to undo the move. Please forgive me!

I agree with you about liking these organizers, and I actually made room for this in my bedroom in a cabinet that used to hold unused office supplies. It's always a tight squeeze and choices must be made. If I had no pets I would have a lot more room for my stuff. But, the loves of my life are my pets since I have hardly any family and none live in the USA.

Actually, I get organizing tips from others who are better at it than I am.
