What title?

Her royal nervousness, Hera, needs throne carriers, sort of like the Kings and Queens of the Indian  type nations.

Pope Pius XII, in the papal mantumand wearing the 1877 Papal Tiara, is carried through St. Peter's Basilica on asedia gestatoria.

The gestatorial chair (sedia gestatoria in Italian, lit. "chair for carrying" ) was a ceremonial throne on which Popes were carried on shoulders until 1978. It consists of a richly adorned,

What I am referring to is the fact that she is very afraid of walking on linoleum type floors where I work.  She freezes up and holds her feet very balled up and starts to slide terribly.  She gets so terrified that she will pant and shake for 15 or more minutes!or more minutes or more.

Maybe we could put two long poles under the swimming pool and she could be carried in a greyhound throne!

  1. You could try boots until she's happier with the various floor surfaces. On the other hand if the Princess wants to be carried, so she should be:) LOL

    She is beautiful.

  2. Shoes will probably help. I know a greyhound who wears them to all the meet and greets because of the floors.

I have no real advice for the steps as Miss Scout still refuses to go up them on her own. She puts her front feet on the front step and then I have to lift her butt up and place her back feet on the step. She goes up them after that. She can do all of them, of course, but we have given up on trying to make her. We have had her for seven years and she is not going to change. LOL Going down is not an issue.

    1. Miss Scout, you are the biggest crown I have seen! How did you train your mom to do that?

  3. So happy to hear you have adopted this lovely girl Hazel. I'm sure with a bit of time she will be fine - although the swimming pool idea was particularly hilarious! Thanks for the birthday wishes for Dip.

  4. I've heard that Musher's Secret will help them keep their grip on slippery floors. Or, something that might be easier on your back that carrying HRH would be to roll up a thin rug or towel, then unroll it for her to walk safely across.

  5. We took care of a dog that was afraid of smooth floors...until everybody went to bed, that is, and then she managed to make it across the kitchen floor to the garbage can with no problem. That's where the turkey carcass got dumped after Thanksgiving dinner, and she had herself a snack! Funny how "when there's a will, there's a way."

  6. Stella didn't like slick floors, and I ended up carrying her over them more than not. I'm sure she would approve of some type of ferry system across such floors.
