Two days ago the park dump truck was the location in which a stowaway was hiding.
He/she/it was captured and subdued and thereupon was separated and placed in a "holding cell".
An old shirt was clipped over the cardboard "cell", to provide privacy and to allow the "prisoner" to calm.
After a few minutes of dark and quiet, the "prisoner" realized that "resistance is futile"(as the BORG said), and fell deeply asleep.
At first glance, the kitten looked more like a guinea pig than a kitten, but when he/she lifted it's head and opened those wonderful eyes, there was no doubt that this is a beautiful white with black spots kitten.
Later that day, one of our employees, Jaymie, a young Navajo man, adopted the kitten and took him/her home to raise!
Oh my gosh is he cute! My sister took home a tiny feral kitten last summer from our dad's farm because he wasn't getting enough food. You'd never know he was so tiny to see him now!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I like better than a kitten is a greyhound!
DeleteLove it! A great story and pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily! We here at the park were all excited!
DeleteHope the little kitten survives. It looks so small.
ReplyDeleteSue, I agree!
DeleteI seem to be having trouble posting comments to your blog. Thought I'd try again--great story and photos!
ReplyDeleteEmily, something weird has been happening the last few days in blogland and elsewhere on the chrome network!
DeleteAwwww....so cute!
ReplyDeleteWould Joey and Scout tolerate a kitten?
DeleteAw, he/she is adorable! I really did think it was a guinea pig at first glance. Glad he/she has a home.
ReplyDeleteI'll try to learn how the kitten is doing each week!
