Flooding rains change the lake life

American white Pelican  taking off
American White Pelicans fishing for supper
Rainbow at Bluewater Lake State Park, after flooding rains.
Water level rising after flooding rains
Great Blue Heron checking out the higher water levels

In the picture above, note the boat ramp in the right side about 1/3 the way down the picture.  After these rains, it is now under the water instead of high and dry.

The young horses are enjoying the eating and playing.
These plants are covering nearly every foot of the beach area.!  I don't know what they are, but they look like a member of the nightshade family.

Lots more horse sightings since the beaches are covered with these green plants

  1. Glad you got some rain. I'm about fed up with rain, myself.

  2. I love seeing your photos of Bluewater Lake!

Thanks for your comment about baby aspirin for Katie and also that the Pit Stop might take my trash. I also had a comment about the refuse station, I was wondering about their days/hours and cost. Debbie and I tried it last year but they were closed. It's right down the street from me. :)

  4. You live in such a beautiful, interesting place. It must be fascinating to watch all the bird and animal life! Love seeing the horses just grazing and wandering free.
