You know, I was a little leery of adopting a black dog because I'd heard they are really difficult to photograph. I'm actually not sure why people say that. It's just a matter of using your light to your advantage, which is true no matter what you're taking a picture of. I took pictures of all the dogs we met the day we went to the adoption kennel and met Flattery. When I looked back in the camera at the pictures, she had the most stunning eyes of any of them. I think Power's eyes are a shade darker than Flattery's, but I still think he's stunning. It must be that common DNA he has with Bunny! lol
ReplyDeleteI agree about all this, and think that you are very good with your photography of the dogs. I think many of us just snap a picture and hope it turns out well, but I think you plan your photos and that it gives great results!
DeleteI think Barbie's eyes are the best part of her, but I think owning a black dog has other benefits - you never know how dirty they are, and they are so sleek and shiny in the sun :)
ReplyDeleteI love that sleek and shiny look!
DeletePower is beautiful and when he lets you see those stunning eyes you must melt.
ReplyDeleteHe is a handsome guy!
ReplyDeletePatty, I thank you! I wish we could let our guys play together!
DeleteOhhh, Power has very expressive eyes! Our girl, Ari, has brown eyes that are often hidden by her fur but when people get a look at them, they comment on how human-like her eyes look. I would agree. Ear skritches to both of your beautiful dogs!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take much to make me melt around animals!
ReplyDeleteThey both love having their ears rubbed!
ReplyDeleteBlack dogs are great, they're eyes are always striking and every single color in the world looks great on them!
ReplyDeleteOh my, his eyes say it all. He's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteAw, how could anyone resist that face? He's a charmer!
ReplyDeletePower has a very expressive face, and you're right - he has a great smile!!
ReplyDeleteBlack dogs are awesome! We will always have at least one black hound in our pack. Power is handsome!
