Fleur seems to have been brain damaged at birth as regards to her nose!
Fleur has a very lovely nose, but she doesn't care about that beauty!
Fleur mostly likes to use her nose as a battering ram! When she goes to her food bowl, she uses her nose as a battering ram to shove the food downward in the bowl. This in turn displaces the food out of the bowl and to the surrounding area. What a mess she makes!
Once she has almost all of her food shoved out of the bowl, then she has fun searching for the food and eating it!
This whole phenomenon was videoed, but I have been unable to transfer the video to the blog.
Typical child playing with her food:)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week ahead.
I want to know if your "family" does this!
DeleteMaybe Fleur needs a maze bowl. It might satisfy her need to push the food around and distract her from pushing it all over the floor!

I had to look it up since I had never heard of it! A very intereting and engaging idea!
DeleteToo funny, our dog Fraser tries to bury his bowl (inside)!

How about a photo?
DeleteFunny about Fleur's eating habits. My daughter's cat can't eat directly out of the bowl. He paws the little brown nuggets out onto the floor, one by one, and then eats them off the floor. Talk about a mess.
ReplyDeletesilly pup.
ReplyDeleteWe love your solution to the problem of space and bringing along a raised feeder! Fleur sounds like Bettina with respect to making a mess. Except Bettina likes to get a mouthful of something, liquids are a favorite, and then sling it all over the place.
ReplyDeleteYour feeding station is impressive Hazel!! Ingenious even. Must see if I can improvise something like that. Asher eats like Fleur, food everywhere.
