Mani-Pedi

I took the dogs by the vet's office to get their nails trimmed.  I can do it, but the dogs resist and it doesn't get finished.

Fleur's feet

The two ladies who work in the vet's office did all the trimming, and they did the work in the waiting room, not taking the dogs back to an exam room.
Fleur's foot

There was no bleeding, no dog biting the handler, and no GSOD!
Power's feet

It was the most peaceful nail trim I've ever experienced.
Great job!

  2. I love Fleur's pretty little feet! It is nice not to have to battle them to get it done!

  3. I get my vet to do Polly's, as they are black and I can't see the quick. Polly just stands stock still and lets her do it.

    1. Hi Sue, I have about half black and half pale colored nails on my guys.

In the past the vet would always get them bleeding, but this vets office was great!

  4. I can't do Beryl's feet. Luckily I've got a friend with a dremel who does them every few weeks for me. Fleur and Power's feet look really good.

    1. I have a Dremel, and have used it a lot, but as will clipping, the hounds are only partially cooperative, and I get just a few nails done.

  5. I hate doing nails. We started using a battery nail trimmer since our Dremel broke. Joey does fine with it, but Scout doesn't. She did fine with the Dremel and Joey didn't. It seems to be never ending with two dogs.

    1. I have a battery operated grinder, it works well, but the dogs resist.

  6. That's what I do. I used to trim Katie's nails, but unless I HAVE to, I'd rather have the vet do it, or one of the pet stores like Pet Smart or PetCo. They do a great job and for $10, it's so worth it.

  7. Ours prefer the Furminator grinder, but I agree, it's a lot easier to pay someone to do the trimming!
