I bought this thimble!
And this needle grabber!
I think the needle grabber is going to be a best buy for me, since I have some difficulty pulling the needle through the many layers of fabric.
Since we ladies basted the quilt while camping at Pancho Villa State Park, I've been making progress on the actual quilting. I ran out of red thread a few days ago, so I got two more spools this week.
Progress!

Crikey ...... Mum needs one of those needle puller things. How do they work? She's got arthritis pretty bad in her hands and sewing is a nightmare but she still likes to do it. She's put it on her shopping list.
ReplyDeleteCharlie, to use the needle puller, one wraps the rubber around the needle and then pulls the needle through the fabric! Hope it works at your house!
DeleteAlways nice to have tools to help us.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your finished quilt.
Hope you have a lovely Easter weekend. Sue, Polly & Honey
Thanks, Sue...have a nice Easter yourself!
DeleteThe thimble looks very convenient & the needle grabber even more so! So good to hear you're making progress on the quilt, Hazel!
ReplyDeleteDawn, I am having a bit of trouble using the thimble, but am practicing and hoping I like it more rather than less! Thanks for the encouragement!
